Nerve irritation?: Irritated nerve due to multiple causes, e.g. Viral infection, tm joint, dental irritation/infection, tumor, lyme disease, bell's palsy, other causes. See md first, maybe dentist after.

? Shingles: Unilateral burning pain may be a early sign of shingles. It would be prudent to consult your doctor at the earliest to avoid pain, acute and chronic as well as any lesions developing in the eye.

Could it be stress?: When taken together, globus sensation ("feeling of a lump"), air swallowing with resulting belching, &amp; dry mouth/ throat are most consistent with stress/anxiety. So can be your neuralgias. Managing your stress (&amp; reasons for same) may be your key to relief.  To be sure however get evaluated to rule out organic or motility disorders here.

SEE DOCTOR: Burning pain is often a sign of some inflammation, usually not something very worrisome.  It can be due to an infection as well, in the scalp.  See a doctor if possible and have them diagnose and treat you.

Nerve irritation: Burning sensation may be a skin nerve that is irritated, but this is my pure guess given no significant information provided. A normal head MRI is encouraging, but if your symptoms have not subsided and you are now having a new one, it's time to talk to your doc again.
