Burning the calories: Any exercise is better than none in term of burning calories, including fat.  For overall health, a balance of diet along with moderately intensive aerobic+wt bearing exercise 45-60min/day for 4-5x/wk would be great. Typically u will start burning sugar calories during exercise and actually burn fat when u are not actively exercising. Only u can keep yourself healthy. Good luck.

Exercise you like!: In my experience the best exercise is the exercise that someone likes and sticks to. Whether it is swimming, walking, cycling, jogging, stairs, weights, or the elliptical, the key to burning fat with exercise is to stick to it. A common problem is for people to do the exercise at too high of an intensity. For fat burning, i would recommend 1 hour 4 times a week at an intensity where you can talk.

Diet more important : Eat foods that are nutrient dense (like meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, low starch vegatables and water) avoid foods that are not nutrient dense (like starches and sugars, including fruit)
nutrient dense foods will increase your basal metabolic rate. On the other hand, starches and sugars impair thyroid metabolism via affects on your liver (which helps activate thyroid hormone).

Eat healthy ; be physically active. Calories burned must &gt; those consumed. Tighten ab's: crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge ; “bicycling” exercise on back. Do regular aerobic exercise.

No: We all take amino acids in our diet. Proteins are made of amino acids and proteins are present in grains, legumes, beans, nuts, milk etc. There is no substitute to reducing caloric intake and increasing physical activity. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco or alcohol in any form. 
Practice safe sex.
