Be aware that...: Scars cannot be removed, they are permanent. They can, however, be improved. Beware of anyone who tells you that he/she can remove or erase your scars. 
There are many treatments. Do your homework, don't expect miracles, and see a surgeon with knowledge and experience in this area.

Possibly: i would say that depending on how irregular or prominent the scar is, it may help blend and smooth the scar.  It is unlikely to hurt anything other than your wallet. :)  Depending on the size of the affected area you maybe be able to excise the bad areas, but that will leave a scar as well, just likely flat and thin.

Not "removal!": Sorry, but no lotion can remove a scar. Scars can be improved, however, by massage, and several different products have been tested and are known to help. Cocoa butter, Vitamin E, and a commercial product called Mederma all will help smooth and flatten scars and speed the reduction of redness. It is firm massage that matters, though, not which of these you use (once your surgeon says it is OK!)

Tincture of time: In most instances time is one of your best friends. Of course. Third degree burns may require more urgent treatment to minimize scarring. Silicone gel sheeting and pressure dressings are time tested methods to minimize scar formation.
