Non itchy, to mildly itchy rashes on the chest can be associated with viruses (which resolve on their own), or can be a form of a more chronic skin condition.  If the rash does not resolve spontaneously, or if it worsens it is best to see your physician.

Several types of inflammatory conditions of the skin, allergic reactions, and sometimes bacterial, viral or fungal infections can cause rashes on the skin. Insect bites can also be the cause of a rash on the skin.  Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.

Rash: There are specific dermatoses related to pregnancy as well non-specific cutaneous eruptions (skin rashes). The most common pregnancy related rashes are PUPPP, Prurigo of Pregnancy, Papular Dermatitis of Pregnancy, Impetigo Herpetiformis and Pemphigoid Gestationis (most of these will occur later in pregnancy). A visit to a dermatologist may help to establish a diagnosis and proper treatment.

Rash: Have your doctor look at the rash. If it looks like hives it may be you are allergic to a medication you were given. A fine red bumpy rash may be more in keeping with something you came in contact with. Seeing it would help sort this out. Good luck with this, always confusing.
