Cyst: It sounds as if you have a sebacous cyst.  Your doctor will most likelt have to drain it.

URI : Sound like an infection with more left-sided symptoms. Most respiratory infections don't need an antibiotic and some do. You should see your doctor.

?contact reaction: Sounds like he may be having a contact dermatitis. This is an irritant or allergic reaction to something put on the skin. Does he shave? Any new products on the face? Have him try a soothing lotion like aveeno (oatmeal) and some Hydrocortisone lotion. If the rash increases or swelling develops, have it checked by the doctor.

Lymph node.: That sounds like enlargement of a postauricular lymph node, which can happen when you're sick with a sinus infection, which could explain the rest of your symptoms.  As long as the lymph node goes away along with the infection, then everything is fine .  For the sinus infection, though, you may need an antibiotic.

Lymph nodes: submandibular or other lymph nodes can be touched or sensed.  The lymph nodes can swell when you get sick or prevent illness.  Also other causes.  If you are well then observe.  If cincerned then see a doctor.
