Quit while you are: ahead. e cigarettes have not been around long enough to know for sure. You would do your health a favor by not using tobacco or tobacco products in any form.

Yes: I respect you, i respect truth, and i know that you want to stop using all tobacco. This being said, if you cannot quit smoking cigs, and medication and a good stop-smoking program did not help, you are far less likely to ruin your health (lung cancer, emphysema) smoking a pipe. Smokeless tobacco is addictive like pipe and cigs but the cancer rate is far less (but still real). Please do try 2 quit.

Same risk as cigs: Smoking tobacco in a hookah has the same health problem as smoking cigarettes. Tobacco is burned, goes into mouth and lungs, the brain and body. Water 'filter' of hookah doesn't protect, just as a filter on a cigarette doesn't. Depending on how long the hookah session, you can get more tobacco in your body. Yes!: I assume your child is born and not still in utero, but all the ailments adults suffer from tobacco use can be conveyed to your child.  Lung damage, cancer, heart disease, and potentially cognitive delay and and he/she has a head start on all of this.  If you smoked while pregnant the list gets longer.  Would strongly recommend you make very serious efforts at stopping.

In addition, there is carbon monoxide and formaldehyde in the smoke, and hundreds of other compounds of unknown safety in humans.

Yes, and more: Any form of tobacco is harmful to your health - and there is no safe level. Cigars are the same.
