Doesn't sound safe: The HCG diet has a person eating 500 calories a day for more than a month. That's just one big slice of pizza a day. A 4-month old baby eats 500 calories a day. Anybody on 500 calories a day is on a starvation diet and will lose weight. It doesn't sound safe. Extremely low calorie diets don't work because the weight comes back when one starts eating again. Long-term lifestyle changes are needed.

Weight loss: Most people try to use human growth hormone for weight loss and for metabolism. It has never been proven to be effective when taken orally. Most of the oral products that are availible over the counter are not going to do much for you. I wouldnt waste your money.

Insufficiency : The diet is really a starvation diet and can cause problems with heart and other organs because you aren't getting enough nutrition and can see  consequences from starvation.  Do not recommend as not worth weight loss. Add exercise if you want to burn more calories than you are taking in. Not worth harming your body

Yes but...: Hcg is not likely going to cause any harm but weight loss is due to the severe caloric restriction. In men with low testosterone and normal testes, it may work better because the HCG will increase the testosterone level. In women, HCG may increase progesterone. Higher Progesterone may lead to less anxiety and therefore less eating. Overall, smart eating plus increased activity is a better choice.

I wouldn't recommend: I wouldn't recommend the combination of domperidone and the HCG diet . I also wouldn't recommend the HCG diet.

Depends: Do not follow the 500 cal HCG diet. You can have yogurt with granola for breakfast with the HCG diet. The worst it may do is slow down the weight loss slightly. I do HCG in my office, and never restrict calories below 1200. Starvation is not desired nor allowed in my office.

i have abruptly stopped the hcg diet and am gaining weight.  how do i stop this!?

Reset metabolism: The HCG diet puts your body into starvation mode and changes metabolic 'set point.'  and then when you resume normal diet, your metabolism has been altered and you gain weight.  Best at this point is to change metabolic set point with increased exercise and normal 1400-1600 kcal diet, depending on your height/weight.  You should see scale start to bend back. Good luck!
