Painful bulge: You probably need to be evaluated to see if you have some type of hernia or another medical issue. 
It will require more of a history and physical and other testing (ultrasound), more than you can simply obtain from the internet.  Please follow up with your Primary and have a most excellent day.

is the small bulge under my right rib cage cancerous? it's just a slight bulge under my right rib cage and it's causing a sharp pain. the pain is constant but when i laugh the pain also comes

Hello. : Hello. I am not able to visualize what area of the torso you are referring to. However, most of us have an area that is just below the breast bone that can feel like a bulge. It is called the xiphoid process and it is cartilage that is attached to the base of the breastbone or sternum. It can become inflammed and sore. If you are feeling something different and it appears to be a mass; i suggest getting it checked out by your doctor.   Not all bumps are cancerous.

hello, 7months i've had a soft bulge under my lower left rib, some pain when pressing & there is like a popping sensation (like a jar lid) any idea?

Needs to be checked: We can not tell you what it could be without examination.It may be a cyst,a hematoma,a tumor.I suggest you have it checked by your GP,as it is of concern to you

Get examined: The best advice I can offer is to get a history and physical examination by a good doctor.

It may be a hernia, the chance of this would increase if you've had an operation in the area.  it may even be a normal variation of standard anatomy.

The best way to evaluate it is with a physical examination.  Ask the doctor to examine you while you simulate the circumstances of its occurrence.

Colon vs Other: This could represent constipation and gas pain, colonic inflammation from something like diverticulitis, an ovarian cyst or related ovarian issue or a muscle strain of the abdominal wall musculature. If the pain is at this level of the back, then ascending urinary tract infection should also be considered as a source of your discomfort.

See below: I doubt, the kidney as more likely to be felt in the front of the abdomen, the structures in your back  eg the big muscles, prevent it from showing up in the back.

Check BP: You are likely being overly sensitive to your own body, but to be sure check your BP in a sitting position a few times when you are relaxed and calm, just to be sure. Best if you have someone else like a doctor or nurse check it

Maybe: Yes it could be a hernia. Unfortunately it might also be a benign condition called diastases recti, but you really need to see your position and have a physical exam to find out. A hernia becomes emergent if it gets stuck in place, becomes painful to touch, or is associated with things such as persistent nausea, vomiting, fever
