Varies: There are a number of  possibilities, among the more common and sometimes concerning can be a spider bite, particularly a brown recluse spider.  You should seek attention if the area becomes dark appearing or shows any sign of infection such as redness or swelling; or if the size of the area is increasing.

what could cause repeated bruising on the ball of the feet of someone in their 20s without injury? it happens every few weeks. they just appear unexpectedly. usually in the fall, winter and spring. i have raynauds disease. could that be the cause?

: With Reynards disease decrease circulation to the skin is susceptible to excessive pressure. Meaning the skin will break down and without proper circulation will not have time to heal. You have to be very careful and respect this because it can lead to ulcerations and open wounds. I would pad the shoes taking pressure off the bottom of the feet

Feet cracked: That feeling is usually associated with tendons that are slipping in or out of the groove they run in.  Much like cracking the knuckles of your hand - which is also a tendon moving in and out of a groove and not the joint popping.  If it causes you no pan there is nothing really wrong.  If it is painful or unremitting , then seek the help of a podiatrist.   Good luck !

Chances : Chances are this has nothing to do with the feet, but more a problem with blood clotting.  It may be showing up in the feet because feet take more of a daily pounding than the rest of us.

I would recommend he go to his primary care physician, who will undoubtedly order some blood tests and see if he has some kind of coagulation issue.

i have a bruise on my ankle that is black in color. when i first noticed it back in june, it was just slightly bigger than a pencil eraser.  now it is almost wrapped around my ankle and starting to cover the heel of my foot.  what could cause this?
