: You should put an antibacterial ointment, like bacitracin, on the area and keep it clean. See a doctor if you are seeing pus because you may need an antibiotic. The pavement is not clean and you may have an infection so see a doctor ASAP. Good luck!

It will feel swollen, bruised and cause spasms of the masseter muscle prevention mouth opening. Pain accompanies inflammation that is secondary to the extraction and possibly the infection that required it. Please see your dentist if this persists beyond 6 days
