No: Most other tree nuts will cross react with brazil nut and cause symptoms.  However, even if they did not cross react, you would still likely be exposed to brazil nut protein by contamination of the other nuts due to contact with brazil nut.

Everyhwhere: Everywhere is safe to go, except maybe a nut farm.  You need to avoid foods with nuts, but it's impossible to avoid places with nuts because nuts are all over the world.   Be prepared with Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and/or an epipen, be careful what your child eats, and enjoy your self.

Almonds: People often crave that which they can not tolerate. If you have an almond allergy, it is very important that you stop eating those nuts right away (as it can get worse). You can see an allergist to be evaluated if you aren't sure what you are allergic to.

Accepted Answer

Risk of nut allergy: You can develop a nut allergy at any time in your life. Having a family history of allergy, or a personal history of other allergic disorders, such as eczema or hayfever may increase your risk of developing a food allergy.  However, nut allergy can occur in individuals with no other allergic history.  Eating large amounts of nuts or foods containing nuts is not a risk factor by itself.

You might: Hot pressed oil contains insignificant amount of nut proteins. In nut allergy, you are allergic to the protein of that particular nut. You get reaction to the nut by eating it, not through the skin in general. If the body lotion that you want to use does not have the oil from the nut that you are allergic to, you should be fine. If it does, the risk is really low. See a local allergist for details

We see this. A lot. : We understand more of how, than why allergies develop. Not sure that alcohol does anything to accelerate the process. Not unusual that tree nut or peanut allergy develops suddenly, I'm afraid.

Yes: Allergies can develop in anyone to anything at any time. If you suspect that he is allergic to nuts or anything else for that matter then take him to an immunologist for testing, it may save his life.

Peanut/ soy nut: Peanuts and soy nuts are actually legumes.  However, a word of caution, many people that are allergic to tree nut also have problems with peanut or soy.  Be sure that you had negative tests for peanut and soy before proceeding.

By getting injection: I think what you need to do  ,see a allergy specialist and they can either you medications or injection for desensitization for severe nut allergy. But I think still there is no 100 percent cure

Always carry EpiPen (epinephrine): Peanut and tree nut allergies have some of the highest rates of fatal anaphylaxis, and Epinephrine can be life saving. Unfortunately, you cannot predict how severe a person's reaction will be based on a previous reaction--there are too many variables. For that reason, in general we recommend that everyone with any history of reaction to these foods carry an epi pen. See an allergist for more info.
