Not uncommon: Life often sends challenges our way that we may not have the skill set to handle. The teen years are a common time for extremes in mood &amp; self examination. Gender issues are more common then but settle out later. I would seek out a life coach/therapist who can teach her how to manage &amp; express feelings. Do the work &amp; life will get better.

Get checked by your physician.
