Acupuncture will  : Not heal a bone spur. However it can improve pain from a spur. Tennis elbow is often recurrent. Acupuncture can very effectively treat tennis elbow (but that doesn't always translate to a cure).

I Depend - Variable: The lengthy of the incision is influenced by the size of the bursa. But in general the incision is about 1 to 2 inches long.

: Did X-Rays show the bone spurs? RA can cause elbow pain but when I see spur formation, I think of old injuries &amp; wear and tear causes or can this be recent onset subacute bursitis?  If resting the elbow &amp; a course of anti-inflammatory medication don't relieve your symptoms, consult your physician or an orthopedic surgeon for evaluation &amp; advice.

Unusual: Bone spurs are often mistaken for other things. I am not try to doubt your opinion of what you are having, but having a lot of bone spurs is unusual. Cystic lesions such as ganglion cysts or small fatty tumors, lipomas, are far more common. Bone spurs are usually hard to tell by the feel of it and an xray will be needed to document their bony origin.

Depends: Treatment is directed at what is the cause of the spur. Is it biomechanical: orthotics would be helpful. Is it due to a tight shoe: change shoes.  Is it due to a deformity of some kind. Then this should be addressed. Palliative treatment, including injections can be done. Surgery to remove spur can be performed if indicated.

Depends on where: The spur is. Most spurs on the talus are posterior, which is a relatively easy access point for surgery. To give you a general answer to your general question, though, the treatment for a bone spur is surgical removal. Needless to say, if this is not causing pain, don't have surgery!
