i sweat doing everyday tasks but my body temperature is low at approx 36.2 - 36.5 degrees celsius while i am very hot. what could be causing this?

Sweat &amp; temperature:  Low body temperature and sweating indicates there's a problem with the hypothalamus which plays a vital role in regulating the temperature in the body. Also hypothyroidism and other metabolic disorders can be the cause. See your PCP for check up, tests and evaluation.

i have a temperature of 95.7f and an upset stomach. i dont know why my body temperature is low and what is causing the upset stomach?

WHAT IS YOUR NORM?: First of all what does your temperature usually run and what device are you using to check. Stomach upset can be many things need more info to narrow it down. 98.6 F is the average so some people may run above or below. Most relevant though is if this is a change from your normal.

LOW BODY TEMPERATURE: You did not say how low is your temp'even though 98.4 is cosidered normal bp.But some people have 1 to 1.5 degree lower than that as their normal temp and they feel fine without any symptoms and do not feel cold.Your body is used to this temp and you feel normal.

Your : Your basal body temperature is tracked in the fertility awareness method (fam) in order to compare changes in temperature over the month.  There is no concern or medical problem with having a low or high basal temperature.  Fam for family planning is not as reliable in the first few months, so you may want to use condoms and spermicidal gel as back-up until you have enough data.

Fam is a reliable manner of avoiding pregnancy for heterosexual couples as long as the method is well understood and the guidelines are followed exactly. Couples who choose to stop using fam usually cite onerous duty of tracking/charting signs, and periodic abstinence as the reasons.

For those who do wish to pursue this method either to become pregnant or to avoid pregnancy, an excellent resource is the book taking charge of your fertility by toni weschler.

i am hypothyroid and my body temperature is consistently low between 95.3 - 96.1 do i need an increase in thyroxine?

i have  about all hypo thyroid symptoms. tsh is at 2.41. my body temperature is always low as well. everyone whos seen my labs have said they felt like crap until their tsh was at 1.0 or below! i want a doctor to help, but they tell me its "in range"?

Hypothyroid symptoms: I'm sorry you feel bad.  Assuming your FT4 is also normal, and the TSH has been repeated, then it would appear that your thyroid is functioning normally.  I would suggest talking to your doctor and looking for other causes of your symptoms.

Unknown: Bbt or basal body temperature is an inaccurate way to follow ovulation.  In our experience it adds a great deal of stress.  If the pattern is normal it highly correlates with ovulation but if it's not it surely doesn't mean that you are not ovulating.  If you have 28 day regular cycles you are 98% certain that you have normal ovulation.
