Not exactly: Bmi 25 is close to 80th percentile for female adult and 75th for male.  Bmi over 85th percentile is regarded as overweight.

whenever i calculate my bmi it says my ideal weight should be between 40 to 60 kg but my friends of same height and age even have 80kg but they are not fat. but bmi says they are fat. so is it really necessary to depend on bmi or what to do?

An adult with a BMI of 18.5-24.9 is normal, 25-29.9 is overweight, and 30 or more is obese.

Bmi : The thumb and index measurement are a rough guide. Bmi should not be taken as an absolute standard it does have to be adjusted slightly for your frame.

Body Building is not bad for your health but BMI of  34 suggest you are rather obese.You need to consult your doctor or a nutritionist  to modify your diet and get checked for other risk factors and advice about Diet and Exercise. You also need to get your Lipids profile , BP Check etc done.also your waist measurement . If it is over. 40 it is another risk factor

In other words, among relatively heavy children, BMI is a good indicator of excess body fatness;... among relatively thin children... BMI is more an indicator of fat-free mass...
