is it common to have blurry vision right after you wake up from sleep/nap?

Yes: In the morning, the eyes tend to be more dry because we dont make the same amount of tears while we sleep. In addition, your eye may need adjustment to the light.  In some cases, diseases like fuch's dystrophy the swelling of the cornea is worse in the morning, so vision is worse and improves over the morning. This disease affects usually patients over 60.

had corneal abrasion 18mos ago. eyesight fine, just have some extra fluid/goop making vision blurry at wake-up. 3-4 blinks, eye is fine. what is this?

Don't think: The injury has anything to do with this and it doesn't sound very serious if you can blink a few times and are ok.  Sounds kind of normal or at most possibly overactive oil glands in the lids.  If still concerning have an eye exam.

Get checked: If you wear contact lenses, stop wearing them and use your glasses. If you have no history of glasses or contact lens use, get your eyes examined. It could be as simple as needing glasses although that need does not usually present itself so suddenly. It's possible high blood sugar or other metabolic problems could be causing blurry vision overnight. See your eye doctor.

lately, my vision is getting poorer than before as i can no longer see 20/20. where there are 2 instances that i wake up with a blurry vision. also, when i watch a video, my vision would get randomly out of focus. do i need to get eyeglasses?

: from the sound of the symptoms the blurring of your vision while watching a video sounds like your eyes are drying out, and upon awakening is when your are at your driest.  Suggest exam by eye care professional.

Blurry vision DES: Blurry vision can be due to: dry eyes (most common) {from a variety of causes, mgd, blepharitis}, need for new glasses (refractive error;induced myopia); diabetes, headaches/ migraines; conjunctivalchalasis; rare issues (increased intracranial pressure/ papilledema, etc. Be sure you went to eyeMD, had full dilated exam, HVF, OCT, pupil check. If all normal, glucose check.

at times it feels like the floor is vibrating. i wake with my right ear blogged, blurry vision in both eyes. then vertigo.
whats going?

Too vague to comment: More than 1/2 the elder population will have high blood pressure &amp; many will develop Type 2 diabetes. The symptoms cited can be part of many different issues. Only a complete review of your past &amp; current history, exam &amp; testing can begin to sort out the issues &amp; possible treatment plan.

That's an emergency!: Any abrupt onset of change of vision needs immediate attention.  There are multiple causes. Some include: detached retina, acute glaucoma, a stroke that can occur in various part of the brain or cranial nerves, a condition called temporal arteritis (blood vessels become infllammed), migraine... Whatever the cause, have it checked.....Today!

Evaluation needed: Visual blur of recent onset requires investigation as it can be an early sign of eye disease or structural eye problems.  Gradual onset of blur is usually do to a need for improved prescription of eyeglasses.  See your ophthalmologist to sort this out.
