Affects Eye Muscles: Anxiety raises the level of activation of the sympathetic nervous system (the "fight or flight" system). This prepares the person for anticipated danger. Vision needs to be very sensitive to light or movement, but the details don't matter as much when you are facing a tiger in the dark (for example). And fight or flight is not supposed to last, it is a strain over time.

Iridotomy: An Iridotomy is performed in patients who have a narrow angle (narrow internal eye drain area: see eyedoc2020@blogspot.com for more info). The laser makes a microscopic hole in the peripheral iris to help fluid get into drain easier. Creating the hole can make vision blurry from inflammation in eye. Halos can happen due to hole depending on location. What clock hour did they make the hole &amp; when?

Depends : On the dose / duration, steroids may lead to or exacerbate cataracts, (if it is the case) common, and unpredictable.  Treatment is available, kindly ask for ophthalmologist referral for evaluation, it may not be cataract, may be other unrelated issue to steroids, wish you wellness

Cornea swelling: Contact lens overwear, keeping eyes open too long in a pool, or other causes of swelling of the front of the eye can cause these symptoms. If pain and light sensitivity are also present, then an urgent visit to your eye doctor is needed!

Does not sound good: Far too few specifics offered but, at face value, is consistent with possible tias. Most strokes are missed. In ones which are symptomatic, commonly symptoms affect one side of body, opposite side of brain affected. If also weak, not just numb, stroke (cva; medical jargon) more likely. Advise seek out good help, probably quickly if acute onset, in hope of stopping possible further damage.

I'm not an: opthalmologist, but the obvious first suggestion is to make an appointment with one.   In an older person you want to eliminate cataracts as a potential diagnose.   In a younger person, while cataracts do occur, there are lots of other potential causes that need a look-see.   Opthalmologists also know about what causes dry eyes.

Only if ....: Long term studies show that your daily dosage per body weight is the  only factor predicting macular / retinal problems.The safe dose is 6.0 mg/kg.  Not one of nearly 2200 pts @ the cleveland clinic was seen with eye issues @ this dose. Difficulty with focusing is common early, but goes away. Crystals of ho-q can form in dry eyes and give what you experience. Use liquid tears or wet moist cloth.

Accepted Answer

Floaters.ghosting.: Follow up with an ER or ophthalmologist within 24 hours. You could have autoimmune inflammation of the eyes or retinal detachment  and need  immediate treatment.
