Diabetes &amp; Weight: Congrats on setting this goal.  Type 2 diabetes is primarily a lifestyle disorder, Type 1 is autoimmune.  if you are not yet diabetic ask your doc about he ketogenic food plan.  If already diabetic and taking oral meds, that can increase weight so ask about exercise plans, see a trainer, and see a nutritionist.  Keto can be a major help if do ok w/it for you. It's high good fat and low carbs.

It's best to speak: Directly with your own ob/gyn's advice nurse;  post-surgical orders may be specific to your own surgeon. That said, diet pills often increase blood pressure (not good immediately post op as increased BP may open recently cauterized tissue). So, it would be wisest to avoid them until, and unless, told otherwise by your healthcare provider.

Metformin & diet pil: Metformin or not, i feel the best way to lose weight is not by dieting or a pill, but by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. You don't need a drastic diet. Make small changes. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein/veggie/fruit/water intake, & start doing some cardiovascular exercise. Diet pills are not the answer.

Diet pills: With or without thyroid problems the answer is the same. Generally, fat and carb blockers don't really work well for weight loss. There really isn't any magic pill do lose weight safely. The best way to lose weight is by changing your lifestyle to a healthier one. Eat the right portions, eat 3-5 small meals a day, cut back on carbs and sugars, increase lean protein intake & exercise regularly.

Don't waste your $$: Green coffee bean extract and rasberry ketones are of no value for any know medical condition.. They will not help you lose weight, except in your wallet. Save your money and spend it on good food and exercise. Don't get your medical knowledge from friends, tv, the internet, or dr. Oz - he's rarely correct.
