i have a small 0.5 cm red blemish of skin above my anus. sometimes it looks more bloody, sometimes just a blemish. dont think it can be a syphilis chancre. it isnt raised and isnt painful - wouldnt know it was there unless i checked. any ideas?

: Not possible to judge without visual exam. See a doctor. (If  you are sexually active and at possible risk for STD, it could be syphilis. A common kind of skin lesion of secondary is called condyloma lata, is painless, and is common in the anal area regardless of anal sexual exposure.)

just had a large bloody piece of skin fall out of anus 20mins after bowl movement, into drawers. no warning. no feces, just skin.  what is going on?

May just look like ?: Soebody needs to take a look  and fing out what is missing. Diagnisis is a good thing.

: Common to get small bumps around the anus - called " Cysts" - no danger -try not to pick at it or squeeze it when you bathe .
 If gets a little bigger it can be easily removed surgically under local anesthetic

See Dr: Probably local irritation and/ or hemorrhoids. Need professional evaluation because of other possible causes. Meanwhile use skin lotion on bathroom paper to clean anal skin. Do this after any bowel movement. Do this whenever the area feels wet. Do this whenever the area feels itchy or irritated. Clean around + inside anus with the lotion on soft bathroom paper.

Scar tissue: Usually extra skin growing around the anus is scar tissue that results from a fissure in ano. If you had a painful tear with persistant pain and bleeding with bowel movements this would be the result.

I don't know?: Hemorrhoids? Anal warts?  There are a # of possible causes. The best way to get an accurate diagnosis would be dermatological evaluation.

Hemorrhoids: This sounds like you have hemorrhoids that are internal and external possibly. A good exam will help. Try over the counter hemorrhoid cream. Your foul smelling gas can be sign that your gut flora are off. Try a probiotic for a month.

anal bleaching was a fad in america a few years ago and this was usually done at plastic surgeons or dermatology offices.

You could call some of your local clinics that specialize in skin and ask if they do this procedure.

No not normal: Could be a yeast infection but without an exam and more information i can not answer this. See a specialist, GI or colorectal.
