Hemochromatosis?: I'm wondering how you know how your blood smells, but if you were my patient, I think I would want to check a blood test and maybe sonogram of your liver. Also a blood test for hemochromatosis which is an iron overload disease. See your doctor and discuss these possibilities as soon as possible.

good day, my stool is black and i have been taking iron supplements as well, my stool also smells of blood. what could be the problem?

Some thoughts: Iron supplements will darken stool color as a side effect7 may effect the smell. The only way to tell if this is due to blood would be to have the stool analyzed.

Metal taste: Unlikely from iron.  CAN be from some type rental problem, dry mouth, medication.  Other metal exposure. ZINC DEF.

im not anemic but my iron level wont go above 10.5 which iant high enough to give blood which i would like to do any suggeations?

Anemia: Is 10.5 your hemoglobin level? Either way whether this is your hemoglobin level or your iron (ferritin) level. The level is low and indicates that you are anemic. If you do have iron deficiency and you  dont respond to oral iron then you probably should get intravenous iron. Discuss firther with your md. Make sure that you dont have any other reason that can make you anemic besides low iron.

What units?: If this was measured in micrograms per deciliter, you are very low, probably iron deficient, and need to address why -- this may be from monthly loss, loss from pregnancy, vegetarianism, blood loss from hookworm or a GI ulcer or malignancy, or some other cause. Your physician needs to address this with you.

i had an abortion done a month and 2weeks ago i was 14weeks i am still bleeding very light but its very very light pink and smells very much like iron is this normal?

Not unless period: No this is not normal, see the MD who did the abortion as there may be a problem that needs follow up.
