Blood: Most common cause is hemorrhoid (internal or external). Are you having any diarrhea? Viral or bacterial infections can cause this. What is your diet like? Please consult with us so we can discuss further as blood on tissue with anal pain has many possible diagnoses and a Rx will help. Also want to be sure it is not cancer which is rare.

Rule Out Pregnancy: Light brown blood after urination can be a sign of early pregnancy. If it is possible, you can easily rule it out by home urine pregnancy test, which have become very reliable. If test is negative, repeat after one week to be certain. If still doubtful, a blood test at your doctor's office would provide definitive answer.

Blood on paper: Rectal blood is abnormal and must be explained, but in your case it probably is a benign situation from hard stool with possible anal fissure or hemorrhoids. Take a daily stool softener like colace, (docusate sodium) eat foods high in fiber and drink adequate fluids every day. If traces of rectal blood continue see your physician or a proctologist for evaluation and advice.

It's ok: After a miscarriage it can take several cycles for everything to return to normal.  Spotting, brownish discharge, red blood, small clots are all considered normal.  If heavy bright red bleeding or fever and pelvic pain occur you need to see your doctor.

29 yr old, 2 endometromas on ovaries, cramping yesterday and small amount of blood on toilet tissue. any ideas? f/u with gyn in march.

Likely endometriosis: Cramping and irregular bleeding are often caused by endometriosis. Unless you are having other issues such as fever or unusual pain following up in march should be fine.
