See Below:: A gestational sac with no obvious pregnancy on ultrasound can be a normal finding in early pregnancy.  It can also be a blighted ovum.  This is when the fertilized egg implants in the uterus and develops a sac but no embryo.   It is something you can see by ultrasound prior to a miscarriage.  Sometimes it is a pseudo-sac and can be seen with pregnancy outside the uterus (ectopic pregnancy).

Does this mean: You had a period in january?  Once you have an actual period - that means you aren't pregnant from sexual activity prior to that time.  If you have missed a period - go ahead and take a home pregnancy test now. Take care.

i'm nearly 5 weeks pregnant, i got my quantitative blood test back today all normal my hgc level is 1,078 would this mean a healthy uterus pregnancy?

Recheck: your doctor will be unlikely to be able to detect a intrauterine pregnancy at a hCG level less than 1500. you should plan to get another lab draw and ultrasound in 48 hours, with the expectation that your HCG level will double. During this time we can't be sure of where your pregnancy is and so if you have severe pain or bleeding, please see a doctor immediately. Best of luck.

Pelvic ultrasound: Ultrasound cannot predict when your period will start. If there was something seen inside the uterus right before an expected cycle, it could be a blood clot. It could also be something else. What was seen could certainly be blood or debris indicating the beginning of a period, but I would encourage follow up to be certain that something else is not going on inside your uterus.

Accuracy : Accuracy of ultrasound dating of pregnancy varies with the stage of pregnancy. It is likely that an accurate interpretation could not be made on the first visit.   Since the risk of ultrasound evaluation is extremely low, there is no need to be concerned about returning for this evaluation.  I cannot answer the reason for the request for follow-up the next day, it would be better to ask your physician.

Possible/it depends.: If you haven't had your period yet, there is a chance you could be pregnant.  The nausea and sore breasts can point to this.  You should repeat your hpt in one week to be sure.  If it's negative, and/or you had your period, you can be sure you're not pregnant.  If not, and no period, you're pregnant.  If you symptoms persist, and the test is negative, and no period, see your doctor to find out why.

If you do not get pregnant, your Progesterone level drops, and your uterine lining sheds and is expelled during menses (your period).  The cycle then starts over.
