Rectal bleeding.: Causes of rectal bleeding can include hemorrhoids, fissures, fistula, cancer  or GI tract inflammation or infection. Get it checked out if it has occurred more than one.

Hemorroids are less likely to cause pain, whereas anal fissures can cause significant pain during defecation. Regardless, you should see a doctor about it to find the exact cause. There are some more serious conditions to r/o.
