Not Normal: Blood in stool could come from cross over to anus while defeating and bleeding or you could have hemorrhoids in related to your period. You should however be seen by a GI specialist and gynecologist for examination

No!: It is always abnormal to have blood in the stool and should be evaluated by your physician.  Sometimes, it may appear as if blood is in the stool when there is a lot of menstrual blood in the area.  There is one condition, endometriosis, that can cause bleeding in the stool during periods.  Women with this condition often have very severe menstrual cramps.

Theres always a : Possibility thay little blood from your period can mix up with stool  but you still have to be examined to look for anorectal diseases. Most common etiology is hemorrhoids but you can't rule out a proximal source especially if the blood is mixed with the stool. Follow up with a GI doctor.

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

the last two weeks i noticed twice so far a dull ache that lasted 30 seconds on lower left abdomen. im 7 days away from my period. no blood in stool or fevers. is this a sign of anything alarming ?

: What you described is not alarming. If you are constipated that may explain the symptom. 
If you are constipated - You may take a fiber laxative like Metamucil and drink enough water daily so that your urine is colorless. For the long term you may try to increase your intake of fiber foods.

What's the question: I'm not sure what your question is but blood in your stool is never normal and you need to see your primary care doctor or a gastroenterologist to look into this. The painful periods can also be addressed by either your primary care provider or your OB/GYN. Best wishes.
