Timing: The best timing for getting pregnant is to have intercourse a day or two before ovulation. It is not feasible to say if sex at this time would be fruitful.

See below: Blood in urine warrants an investigation, however, in your case, it is not clear that what you are perceiving as blood clots in pee is not contamination with vaginal discharge. It would be prudent to see your doctor for a urine examination to exclude bleeding form the kidney or urinary tract.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low fat milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex. 
Get HPV vaccine.

Endometriosis : You may have endometriosis. This is a chronic condition associated with painful menses, rectal pain, pain with intercourse, etc. The way to definitively diagnosis this is with laparoscopy. Symtom relief  occurs with suppressing menses either with birth control pills, depot Provera (medroxyprogesterone) and Lupron.There are many other reasons for pelvic pain. It is important to have an evaluation by a GYN Doctor.

No: Heavy bleeding to the point of blood clots around ovulation is not considered normal.  This should be evaluated by an ob/gyn and this should include an exam, ultrasound, and likely a biopsy of the uterus.  Make sure you are not pregnant too!

Not normal: If you are mid-cycle and passing blood clots, then this is not normal.  Check a pregnancy test and call your doctor for a visit, exam and likely an ultrasound.

YES: YES; however it is not common to ovulate  during your period which usually occurs mid-cycle. This sounds like either old menstrual blood mixed with cervical or sexual mucous.

i have pcos. trying for a baby. dr has given me medroxyprogesterone(provera) to give period. then start clomifene(clomid) to ovulate. i read provera is so dangerous. high risk for giving blood clots, strokes etc. what natural progesterone can i take?

: Natural progesterone would have the same risks. Because your progesterone goes up in pregnancy there is also the same risk then. Birth control pills also have the same risks. It definitely is a small risk but when your doctor gives you medication, they have to tell you the risks. Life is always about risks.

Pregnancy or menses: Carefully record your periods for normal periods are 21-35 days interval lasting max 8 days. Of course not "excessive" so count pads and type I.e. Maxi , lite, etc. also, new onset clot, or pain. Go to Gyn if pregnancy is suspected or you test positive urine test. Or if cycle doesn't return to normal. You will then need lab work and ultrasound besides a pelvic exam. Sometimes even cultures for std

Unlikely: If you are having a period, you are unlikely to be pregnant. If you have any doubt you may do a home pregnancy test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully.
If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. 
Practice safe sex.

Hormones: Your body seems sensitive to your cycling hormones.  The oral contraceptive pill, contraceptive injection, or contraceptive ring will inhibit ovulation--taking care of that pain.  They will also decrease your heavy bleeding with clots and pains.  You may be dizzy and feeling fatigue because of blood loss.  Have your blood level checked by a doctor and start iron supplementation.
