No: This is likely not a blister, but more commonly is a reaction to suture material that is directly under the skin that the body is trying to extrude. You should see your surgeon and have him/her examine the area. If it is a stitch, then it can usually be removed in the office under local anesthesia.

i have a rather large blood blister on my stomach area and it started bleeding so i popped it.  how can i now prevent infection?

Blood blister: Generally, blisters should not be "popped" as the area beneath them is sterile. Preventive measure for one you've broken: wash gently with warm soap & water; pat dry; apply antibiotic ointment & non-stick bandage. Watch for signs of infection: pain, increasing redness, pus. If those occur, see doc for treatment. Btw, may not have been blood blister: as we age get benign red lumps called hemangioma.

Cherry angiomas: Relax and ignore them. If you don't like them a dermatologist can erase them with electrodessication or laser. I prefer electrdessication as it costs nothing. I can charge just a routine office visit. I can treat several every minute. There his a mild sting and they heal in 1 or 2 weeks, depending on size. Anticoagulation makes no difference. They are collections of capillaries filled with blood.

Urgent medical-check: Any pigmented lesion that looks dark and is increasing in size like you have described can be skin cancer(Melanoma is the diagnosis you must get checked for).
Your primary care doctor can examine this area of skin and may recommend removal(excisional biopsy). Do not delay your medical check up, so get checked within 1-2 weeks.
