Not common: Skyla has a very tiny amount of Progesterone that acts locally on the lining of the uterus and cervical mucous. The hormone released is so low it does not usually cause symptoms throughout your body. Monitor your progress over the next few months and see it is gets better. If not see your doctor

took plan b 8 days ago and have had some bloating/weight gain. is this a side effect and when would i go back down to my normal weight with reduced bloating?

Weight should drop: back down again. Potential SE’s w emergency contraception: tender breasts; changes in menstrual flow (spotting, bleeding, early or late period or spotting instead of period); loose stools; dizziness; headache; nausea/ vomiting; abdominal discomfort, bloating or feeling tired. If you develop chest tightness, difficulty breathing, swelling of lips, mouth, throat – call 911.

my wife has always had type 1 on the bristol chart, 1 or 2 pebbles and once a day. doesn't eat large volumes. had a clear colonoscopy. weight gain and bloating. has tried all types of diets and exercise. is it possible her body is absorbing it all?

Gastroenterologist: She most likely has irritable bowel syndrome with subtype of chronic constipation. If the usual remedies of adequate fluid intake, good amounts of fiber and or supplements like psyllium and taking of bowel stimulant combined with stool softener like daily senokotS don't help, consult a gastroenterologist who may prescribe one of the newer medications for her type of irritable bowel syndrome.

However, your weight may fluctuate in response to hormone cycles which may be explained by fluid retention aka edema. Birth control pills can be used to treat/prevent PMS.

Ascites=fluid wt=fat: As cites generally refers to fluid accumulation which may increase your overall weight but true weight gain traditionally refers t increased amounts of fat shotgun it can be caused by an increase in lean body mass (predominantly muscle) or fluid.

No : A cyst, should not stop you from losing weight. I would recommend a plant based/whole food diet. This diet has been shown to have multiple health benefits. If bloating and weight gain continue I would see your doctor for evaluation and blood tests. There are medicines available to help with this. Depending on where your cyst is, it can be removed as well.

Doubtful: Flucoxacillin, an antibiotic, shouldn't cause weight gain. It, like many medications, can affect digestion and may cause bloating,gastric irritation, or diarrhea.
