: Proper diagnosis of strep can be considered suggestive in a phone interview but is accurate only when testing is done. Many of the most irritated/blistery throats are viral, where antibiotics play no role in recovery.

No -- see Dr. ASAP: If you have strep, you must get seen by a Dr., get tested, and if the test is positive, you must take antibiotics.  Strep throat, if untreated, can lead to rheumatic fever, which can cause permanent damage to heart and kidneys.  While you're there, the Dr. can look at the blisters.  Feel better!

Virus or other: The doctor who actually examined you would be the best one to pose this question to. It could be a virus or something else. Have your parent call the office and request further clarification. Some things just recover on their own while others require further testing.

You can get strep: without a fever, however this doesn't sound like strep, which doesn't usually have blisters. This sounds like it could be Coxsackie virus, which is treated symptomatically, not with antibiotics. Please see your doctor to be properly diagnosed and treated.

Throat: Your throat infections may not be strep. It may be a virus. You may also be having s reaction to the antibiotic. Check in with your doctor. All the best.

Sore throat: Unless you have a culture to verify the fact that your sore throat is due to strep you probably have a virus. An examination and culture could given you the cause.

Possibly: A sore throat with a yellow blister type lesion could be strep, other bacteria, a viral infection, or tonsillolith (tonsil stone). Hard to say. If it hurts badly or doesn't go away in a couple of days, get it checked out.

my 2 year old  has strep throat, she got a shot on wednesday morning it's saturday and she is still not feeling good and shehas blister in her mouth?

It happens: Did they verify the strep with a test ? Was the shot a penicillin based drug? Even if both were done, some kids carry additional throat germs (viruses) as a co-infection and take longer to improve. As long as the kid stays well hydrated and is feeding okay, you can monitor through the weekend. Call the office on Monday if things are not improving.
