Hard to know: without seeing you, Maryamj, but it sounds like you might have a fungal infection which can occur in any tight space where there is trapped sweat and is called intertrigo.  These infections are especially common in diabetics, so you should be checked for that, especially if you have a family history or are overweight.  Meanwhile, try Cruex powder and keep the areas very dry, perhaps with tissue.

Get a culture: Current blood tests for herpes only tell whether you have been exposed to the virus, not whether it is present  in a silent or latent form somewhere in your body.  The best test to have would be a culture of the fluid inside a blister.
