i'm 7wks pp. i i have a little hole in my c section incision that's bleeding a bit. should i just do gauze and keep it dry? am i doing too much?

There are several questions to ask and some physical examination to be done; With pregnancy best to have MD check out cause of bleeding and best management.

wife had a c section and her incision area is very bruised almost black at the bottom. it isnt tight. how would you know if there was internal bleeding? her hemoglobin came 9.2 after surgery then 5.5 sat after. got transf went 7.5? no pain or sympto?

: The wound has to be carefully examined by the MD who did the surgery who may additional tests eg Ct scan or Ultrasound

Yes/no: Its normal to have a small amount of bleeding in the first 24 hours.  After this, the skin seals over and there shouldn't be any bleeding.  If you have a bloody discharge from the incision, you need to see your surgeon to make sure there is no infection or seroma present.  Best wishes!

Yes: A small amount of drainage after a cesarean section is normal, however if the drainage looks like pus, has a foul odor , or if the incision is surrounded by a red 'halo', have it looked at asap. The typical drainage is pink and watery.

2weeks after my c-section i feel preasure and acward in.my insicion no pain.no bleeding but feel way better laying down or sitting is this normal?

It can be: The pressure in your incision might be from swelling or rarely some fluid beneath the incision.  It is possible you have been too active and that has caused some swellling.  Your could see if it gets better with rest.  If there is pain or redness or fever or drainage you need to call your doctor.

is intense cramps and pain in previous c-section incesion normal with no bleeding?. i have had intense cramps and pain in my previous c-section incesion and some bleeding and clots yesterday, then the bleeding stopped today but the pain had intensified.

With : With pain or bleeding around a c-section incision, the best plan would be to contact the treating gynecologist who performed the c-section, or their nurse.  They can advise on the best plan of action for further evaluation and treatment.

Varies: It is ok to clean the incision soap and water, but one could also us hydrogen peroxide.

Yes it can: You need to talk with doctor who did the
c-section. There are many things that may
bother the incision, some are normal reaction
the doctor can usually tell you if it is a concern.

7 days pp can i use neosporin on my c-section incision?

Accepted Answer

Stuff on wounds: I recommend petroleum jelly or aquaphor. I don't use neosporin at all and i only use antibiotic ointment if there is infection.
