She/he will determine your ideal weight, critique your current eating habits and compute what your daily calorie intake should be considering your level of usual physical activity. A sample healthy diet can also be given to you.

i've noticed my big toenails have stopped growing and one has turned yellow and has a thick ridge. what is this and what do i do? i play sports a lot

Nail fungus: Unless you had a trauma to this particular nail, this is probably onychmycosis, or  nail fungus. Trauma can look similar. There are now both good topical and oral antifungals to clear this up. See your local foot specialist to see what's best for you

Depends: If you mean an occasional tightness or pain, then nothing.  If consistent swelling or pain then I would see a podiatrist for exam

Morton's Neuroma: Unless you push of from the swimming pool's wall with your feet when doing laps, swimming should not affect your neuroma. Do avoid high impact exercises or sports. Visit a podiatrist for further information.

in sports i got foot ligament injured nd was plaster for 15days, the plaster is been removed now there is 30% swelling but no pain how to cure?

Ligament: Ankle brace , ice, foot elevation. If not better after a few weeks, go back to your doc.

i have two light brown sports/ bruises on the bottom of my foot, i was wondering if i should be  concerned to take action or not?

Accepted Answer

Depends: .. on how you got those bruises/ brown spots.  And it depends on where these bruises are.  If they are on the heel or forefoot, then with athletic activity they may be part of normal wear/tear associated with those activities.  If they are in the midfoot, then pay closer attention to make sure they don't turn color as normal bruises should and lessen in size.  It is hard to comment further.

fell off a 3 story roof, hit on one foot. never rehabilitated because sports (3weeks in cast). hurts 2 years later (dull pain). could go pro in sports?

Old fall foot: You will need to have it checked out again for the possibility of : arthritis in area due to poorly healed fracture that might have been previously missed, peripheral nerve damage to area, ligamentous damage due to trauma.

Joint instability: Your condition is very uncommon. However, without a history of trauma a dislocating joint is usually related to excessive flexibility in the joint. Patients can be born with this tendency which could be treated with taping our splinting or surgery in some instances.

i have a moderate pain in my left foot- bottom of it, on the inside side, close to and somewhat on the heel. what could this be? (i do play sports)

Accepted Answer

Plantar fasciitis or: Possibly a spur. I would initially try a commerically available shoe insert that protects the heel but an xray or MRI may be beneficial.
