picked a pinhead size dark scab thing off back of thigh. visited farm 2 weeks ago. chances of that being a tick on my leg the whole time?

A pinhead is really: tiny  - if that is all you see with no evidence that a tick was there -  it might be hard to make the case that this was due to a tick bite.

i have lesions on my scalp that come and go. sometime it feels like tick in my hair, but it is a small hard scab that itches. these come and go.

my son found a tick on me and swatted it away but it looks like it bit me.red scab.i dont know how long it was there. will i get lyme disease? what are things to look for? i feel numbness in back but cant tell if its related. thanks?

: The risk to develop Lyme disease is extremely low after brief attachment, defined as less than 36 hours.  Given the uncertainty of the duration tick had been fed before its removal, you may want to consult with your PCP or your local health dept. regarding doxycycline prophylaxis.

i was bitten by a tick in october and it hasnt healed yet . it itches when i touch it i've tried neosporin that did nothing i've tried 99percent rubbing alcohol and it still wont heal its not infected but it still has a scab over it thats been 4 months no

Hello. : Hello. You might have a tick-bite granuloma. It usually develops days or months after the bite and can take months to years to resolve.  This might be caused by fragments of the tick still in your skin or might just have been a reaction to the tickâ€™s saliva.  Itching is not uncommon. Bacteria and parasites can often co-occur with ticks.  Your doctor might prescribe something like triamcinolone cream to help resolve it more quickly. Please be aware that i cannot diagnose the cause of your problem. Take care.

on 5th day from toncil surgery and one side black scab should i worry ?

: wouldn't worry, but should you develop increased pain, fever,  or bleeding, call your surgeon. Make sure that you follow the post op plans including the proper follow up.

my son had a little black speck stuck to the side of face. i scraped it off and it didn't look like a bug. would i be able to tell if it was a tick?

A tick bite??: I doubt it very much that it was a tick, if it was attached to the skin you would have seen, now you scraped off it is more difficult to tell. Talk to  your doctor.  If you're  worried  about tick bite &amp; Lyme disease your pediatrician can test him for it. Good luck

Tick bite: Yes, with all the tick-borne diseases possible. Best to have it looked at and consider prophylactic antibiotics, especially if acquired in a high prevalence Lyme's disease area or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever area. Please have a doctor look at it. MRSA is also a possibility.

May be...: Does it exist recently or lifelong? Has it changed in size over time? If lifelong, and painless, it may be a small mole or a varicose vein or thrombosed varix, which is harmless and requires no active rx. But without detailed history and direct inspection, a more confirmative DX could not be made. So, ask doc timely if in doubt.

Can't tell : Can be several things, fungal Infection, just Infection, eczema, etc. Your best bet is to see your doctor for assessment and possible referral to a dermatologist, good luck

Scab after trauma: Most of the bruses and abrasions after trauma, go away in a matter of days, maybe weeks. Scab could be something else, if trauma happen years ago.
