Yes: In my experience, most people will be affected by the odor and some may have mucous membrane irritation (throat, chest, eye) from the volatile organic compounds.  Up to 1/2 of the people exposed may develop allergic disorders such as asthma ,hay fever, or eye allergy.  A few many develop pneumonia-like pictures and even permanent lung damage. In other words, mold is a really bad dude.

Depends: The poisoning from black molds (unless in an industrial or farming occupation) is not a common problem.  Even if you are exposed to the toxins, the effects usually disappear within days after the exposure. On the other hand, if you have become sensitized or allergic  to the molds, the effects may linger forever.

Allergy consult: The toxic effects from "black mold" exposure are often exaggerated.  A certain percentage of people exposed to it may develop asthma, hay fever, fungal sinusitis, allergic conjunctivitis etc.  A pneumonia type of problem may develop at times &amp; may lead to permanent lung damage. The treatment is moving out &amp; not returning until the problem has been fixed.  If problem continues, see an allergist.

Ct scan: A lung CT scan can not show mold of other infectious agents but can show scarring or other changes resulting from inflammation possibly caused by infection.

These conditions should be treated by your doctor and can cause headache, sleep issues, fatigue, etc. As respiratory irritants, there is no long term effect to your health if you are not allergic to the mold and simply just remove yourself from being confined to spaces that have high mold burdens.
