An is best addressed through supervised weight loss when patients are overweight with Insulin resistance.  Pre-diabetes is also commonly found among such patients. Please see your doctor.

Acanthosis nigricans has a velvetty slightly thickened texture compared to normal skin.  Neck and underarms are common places.  It is associated with Insulin resistance, diabetes, being overweight.  There are treatments for these conditions.  Please see your dermatologist.
