Yed: Celebrex does not have an effect on platelets. All the other anti-inflammatory medications that are called NSAIDs like Motrin Naprosyn etc. do Tylenol is not anti-inflammatory but is analgesic and does not have blood thinning

can i take 30mg of only oxycodone the day of my regenexx blood platelet procedure? i understand not to take anti inflammatory meds. is oxy ok to take?

Yes: Oxycodone is a narcotic, not an anti-inflammatory. Acetaminophen would be safe as well. No ibuprofen, naproxen, or Motrin

See details: Numerous issues can cause an elevated CRP. Aspirin has to be taken in very large doses to have any antiinflammatory effects. The other meds other reduce pain but often will not lower the CRP. Once again, it depends on the cause.

Yes: The presence of a lump in the breast associated with a black and blue mark is the sign of a hematoma secondary to an anticoagulant.  The black and blue mark should slowly turn orange in color and t hen fade. Talk with  your physician about holding  off on the anticoagulant and then reducing the dosage so this doesn't repeat internally.

i developed a spontaneous 5"x4" purple/black bruise on upper arm. no injury. 10 days later, no better & arm felt like i had tourniquet on &hand went cold.us neg for dvt, but showed hematoma. what may have caused this? concerns? not on blood thinner?

: Yes, tight follow up will be needed, 1 for resorption/ healing of spontaneous hematoma and second for a possible coagulation related condition for which a hematologist specializing in coagulation disorders would be best.

Excedrin: Excedrin contains Aspirin which can potentiate anticoagulants by inhibiting platelet function. Taking Aspirin with anticoagulants is possible but should not be done without consulting your doctor.
