Oprolols: Bisoprolol and metoprolol are both beta blockers. They have subtle differences but basically do the same things.

Yes: If you're taking it just for palpitations, it is reasonable to take it only on an "as needed" basis. And either of those choices is fine; they are really quite equivalent.

: They are both beta-blockers and slow the heart and lower BP. Bis is a selective beta-1 antagonist (or blocker of B-1) which control heart rate and BP and Metro is as well. Bis is broken down more slowly by the liver and its 1/2 life is 9-12 hours which is slower than Metro, Thus one needs a lower dose mg for mg.  Usually.  2 50 mg tabs (=100 mg) of Metro costs $208 for 90 and Bis about $90 for 90

Cardioversion?: Initially with rate control and anti-coagulation.  If the atrial fibrillation is causing you symptoms, then a controlled and timed shock to the heart, called cardioversion, can be administrated tito regulate your heart. This is an outpatient procedure. Discuss with your doctor.

Not a diuretic: It's not a diuretic. If you're incontinent on bisoprolol, you'll be incontinent off bisoprolol.

Yes: If the prescription is to lower blood pressure and prevent heart attacks or strokes, you want to take your med as prescribed to prevent excessive rises in BP especially during exercise.  But don't use heart rate to determine your % max conditioning level.

Beta blocker: yea it's a beta blocker although I wouldn't consider it a first line treatment for anxiety.

Beta blockers: I'm not a fan of using beta blockers as first line treatment of hypertension unless the patient tends to have a fast resting heart rate or has coronary artery disease. However, since you're doing well on nebivolol and not having the side effect of fatigue, I think it's very effective for you and shouldn't prevent your heart rate from increasing appropriately during exercise unlike other beta block
