Watch diet: Birth control pills do  not actually make you gain weight. It all comes down to how many calories you eat and how many calories you burn each day. Pregnancy causes actual weight gain. Try to increase activity and make lower calorie food choices.

Breast growth: Breast growth depends on both genetic and environmental factors. It is normal for the breast to change size with age. The most dramatic changes are seen at puberty, pregnancy,  menopause, with changes in weight and with certain medications. Growth that is asymmetrical or localized is the most concerning. Bilateral enlargement is usually normal, but dramatic changes are worth having checked out.

Condoms, diaphragms and paraguard iud do not usually cause any weight gain.

It depends: Weight gain on birth control is highly variable. Some people gain, some don't. Usually it's the depo shot that could cause weight gain, along with irregular spotting. Aside from that, if you are concerned about weight gain on any other form of contraception remember to watch your diet carefully and stay away from soda, fried/fast food and processed foods. That will help!

Not at all: Nuvaring delivers a very low and steady amount of medication, which has never been shown to directly cause weight gain, base on many studies.  Indirect effects and complications appear to be completely comparable to the more traditional birth control pill.
