can you cry when your hypomanic? my psych was calling me bipolar and hypomanic. but i left her room crying which i think that indicates im not.

Perfectly: Normal as those with bipolar disease and hypomania can experience sadness as part of the process.  Your crying doesn't invalidate the diagnosis.

i feel very sad like crying for a couple days or empty then go back normal and some days i have burst of excitement from no where. could i be bipolar?

Depression: Get an evaluation from a psychiatrist to help identify what depression//excitement/bipolar means to you and whatever else may be bothering you. Consider recommendations for medication if any are given. Get a referral for a reputable psychotherapist to speak with. Meds and therapy combined are most optimal; no just one or the other.

am bipolar and right now i am severely depressed. i am suicidal and can't stop crying and am very irritable. is this all normal for suicidal depressio?

I would not advise: You to worry but i would encourage you to have this medically assessed. That way medical causes for symptoms could be ruled in or or ruled out.  Additionally, have your psychologist or psychiatrist evalate to determine if you also have a panic disorder or an anxiety disorder. Take care.

Get evaluated: Sounds like anxiety is a new sx. Have you talked to your primary physician to establish reasons for your anxiety? If not , do it to rule out anything physical going on. Meanwhile, find a qualified mental health professional to help you manage your sx: relaxation; exercise, self-care. Good luck!

Everyone : Everyone feels sad or depressed every once in a while. However, it sounds like you're getting to a point where it would be useful to get some help with these feelings.  It's great that you recognize that things are beginning to impact those around you--it means that you have good insight to the problem, and that's a good indicator for successful treatment.

The worst thing to do is "tough it out."  maybe you could see the person or people who are working with your mother. You may even know them already. If that solution doesn't work for some reason, then i would urge you to look into other mental health resources in your area.

Bipolar: Manic depression is a mood disorder that presents with extreme highs & lows, with at least few weeks of manic phases (abnormally elevated mood & energy level)  alternating with few or more weeks of depressed phases (sad, guilty, hopeless/helpless, changes in sleep/appetite/energy level). Any phase can be severe enough to experience delusions or hallucinations.
