diagnosed with biliary dyskinesia.but when the path report came back on my gallbladder after surgery it was negative.how's that work? is that possible

To be expected: Biliary dyskinesia just means the gallbladder doesn't squeeze properly to expel the bile into the bile duct.  Under the microscope, the gallbladder can have only slight inflammation or even look totally normal.

hi, i have had a lap coly after a series of gallstone 'attacks' and biliary colic. my surgery was in march yet most nights i wake with similar pain?

Many possibilities: Have you talked to your surgeon about this yet?  There are several things that can be done to evaluate this further.  Once a potential cause is found, then a treatment can be recommended.

3 mo. dull ruq pain, slightly ^ bilirubin, minimal sludge. drs suspects biliary colic and am scheduled for gb surgery soon. also just found h pylori + and chronic active gastritis. should i still have surgery before treating the h pylori/gastritis?

: Good question. It probably depends on how urgent your doctor considers the GB surgery to be. If not urgent, probably best to treat the H. pylori first. Ask the doctor!

i would like to get second opinion on my fatigue and chronic sweating condition after surgery from fixing biliary leak and subsequent peritonitis from gall bladder removal. happened 16/03/2015. been treating symptoms waiting for improvement but none.

Reasonable: In most cases it is very reasonable to ask for a 2nd opinion. In the first instance you should approach your GP with this request. The assessment for these symptoms is somewhat involved and will require plenty of background information + a physical examination. If your GP is unwilling to refer you then you are entitled to ask for a 2nd GP opinion.

Usually: Biliary dyskinesia is the second most common reason (behind gallstones) for removal of the gallbladder. If the diagnosis is correct ( low ejection fraction on a hida scan), most patients get relief of their right upper quadrant abdominal pain and nausea after surgery.

Depends: On the symptoms. Did the hida scan reproduce the symptoms? Those whose symptons are reproduced have a better chance of improving with surgery. About 80% get better with surgery, leaving 20% no better or worse with GI symptoms & diarrhea when eating some foods. Need to review your symptoms carefully with your treating doctor before seeing a surgeon.

Biliary Dyskinesia: If you are having symptoms from biliary dyskinesia (pain in the right upper abdomen, nausea/vomiting, bloating after meals, etc.) then you may benefit from having your gallbladder removed.

Here are some...: As reported, your hubby had uneventful minimally invasive abdominal hernia repair - not specified; congratulation! Clinically and generally speaking, he should have no reason for avoiding flight 10 days after such procedure. But, for sake of safety, asking the surgeon, who knew the best detail and nature of the procedure, is the most reasonable thing to do. Best wishes to his health...
