Unfortunately: there are no supplements etc which actually IMPROVE VISION..the REASON for some types of poor vision for example elevated blood sugar can be corrected with improvement of the vision itself!

VITAMIN A: is the major "supporter" of NIGHT VISION and there are a number of eye supporting nutritional/vitamin Preparations.. Ask you Pharmacist for a recommendation!

: Go to Drugs.com and enter exactly the pill(s) you are taking and then enter everything into their inteaction checker. If you get pregnant  let us know.   I would have to have very good evidence that the snake oils you are asking about do NOT do it. You can also ask those who make what you are thinking about taking. .

No: No, there is absolutely no evidence that bilberry extract dilates pupils; if it did I have no doubt that this would be known. Agents that dilate pupils work via the autonomic nervous system and bilberry has no know effects on this (it can cause vasodilation but that is mediated by its effects on nitric oxide, which does not effect pupil dilation).

Doubt it: If your physician had diagnosed that you have floaters then there is no treatment. They eventually fade away on their own.

Don't stop plavix!: First, check with your doctor who prescribes the plavix (clopidogrel) for you. If it is being taken for a heart stent that was placed less than a year ago, you CANNOT stop the plavix (clopidogrel) for any reason. Also, be very cautious about using ANY other supplements along with your prescription medicines, especially other blood thinners. Be sure your doctor knows exactly what you are taking, including supplements.

i have vision problem, so was thinking of taking eye supplements with natural ingredients which are lutein & zeaxanthin zinc, beta carotene,lycop ene, vitamin a, bilberry extract but was wondering can i just take them while breastfeeding or pregnant ?

See ophthalmologist: Although lutein and zeaxanthin are scientifically proved to be beneficial in some ocular diseases, not all vision problems are related to these vitamins (found naturally in green leafy vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, and corn). These supplements are not fully recommended during pregnancy/breastfeeding. An ophthalmologist will diagnose the specific problem and establish an adequate treatment.

In general, No: Many herbs, vitamins, and supplements have been 'touted' and reported to be of benefit for the prostate: saw palmetto (most common), pygeum, bilberry, beta-sitosterol, pumpkin seed, stinging nettle, soy, zinc, selenium, vitamin e, etc. However, there is no proof or high quality scientific evidence to support the use of any of these. A 'heart-healthy' diet, exercise, adequate vit d most beneficial.
