Not a good idea...: Betadine is a skin disinfectant used prior to surgery.  It is likely too harsh to use everyday and some people even become allergic to it.  I would not recommend you use it as a routine facial wash.

underarm fungus. dr gave me daktarin, daktacort cream, resolve plus cream+ duracan for a month. 
not fully improvement. im now on lamifen since 9 days and should be on it a month + vavo shampoo & betadine cleanser. still dark armpit and spots. help?

: You may need skin scraping to see what it is if not done.  Google dark armpits and see if you can match images.  A picture is worth......   Go to uptodate.com and read more.  Then discuss with your team.

Depends: This is a commonly used disinfectant.I routinely use it for preparing skin for suturing on almost any body surface. I make an effort to remove any residual betadine after the procedure.Leaving it on is thought to increase risk of sensitizing the skin to the product making future use likely to cause a rash.

LIke any contact: Itching, raised bumps, redness, occasionally blistering similar to other contact allergies.  The rash may not appear until a couple of days after the contact.

Neither: They are meant to be antiseptics and not for controlling skin rash. Occasionally they are used for pustular skin rash.

I wouldn't: Betadine has the potential to sensitize you(make allergic) to its components if it is left on the skin for indefinite periods. I make great effort to remove any trace of it after I use it to sterilize an area for a procedure.

betadine was spilled on my privates during pad surgery 3 months ago. i experience pain, intense itching and the skin appears burned. i've tried micanozole several times, vaseline and sitz baths. nothing helps. no odor/discharge. suggestions?

: Keep the area clean &amp; try a simple hydrocortisone cream in a thin layer. You likely developed a chemical burn or an individual allergic response to the iodine or other ingredient. Antifungals are unlikely to help. A cool compress can reduce the itching. The area should heal from the inside out in a week or so.

how long does a scab take to form on a small scrape on the palm of my hand? fingernail scratched off top layer of skin, little/no blood, used betadine

May not have 1: The hand is a good healer & u may not develop a scab. Keep clean with soap & water and leave it open 2 the air & it will do fine.

2 days ago while shaving with trimmer i got a small sized cut on my upper side of scrotum raphe close to penis shaft,bleeding has been stopped i've been using betadine cream since today but it havent healed yet n bit of skin is hanging what to do?

: Just put a small band-aid on the wound and change it after taking the shower. Due to the location, it takes a couple more days for healing. I predict that site will be normalized in 7-10 days.
