Usually not: Nasal polyps generally do not "go away" when one is put on a nasal steroid such as budesonide.  These medications can help control symptoms of a runny nose, nasal congestion, pressure, etc., but once a polyp is present, the only way it goes away is through surgery.

had nasal polyp took xylometaxoline hydrochloride nasal spray. it worked polyps gone and can breathe  but i get blood residue on tissue when i sneeze?

See doctor: It is highly unlikely that the kind of spray you used could have eliminated the polyps although it may work transiently to decongest your nose.  When used in excess for period longer than a week, one often ends up with a very irritated nose and thus the nosebleeds.  The nose gets rebound congestion when the nasal spray is stopped.

i've had sinus blockage for about 3 years. i've been taking over the counter meds that don't work and was given rx for nasal spray but still nothing. . . about a year ago i sneezed a small chunk of flesh out, after i though i had mucus in my nose that would not come out. i went in to immediate care and the flesh was dismissed. should i go be seen about nasal polyps? ive been tired, and sleepy and lacking energy because i cant breathe. what should i do?

ENT: Please see an ENT specialist who will be able to perform endoscopy. They can assess you for signs of polyps and inflammation. The underlying causes may include chronic allergic responses, infections and a sample may be obtained. Your PCP may order the CAP allergy panel for your area, or during a virtual HT consult.

Yes: Saline nasal sprays help to keep your nose moist, which prevents bleeding. If your nasal polyp starts to bleed after use, stop. Occasionally there can be a blood vessel near the surface that bleeds easily. If the symptoms are bothering you or interfering with your life, get evaluated to see if this might be the case. If so, it can be cauterized.

No single best spray: Unfortunately, there's no single best spray for everyone in the States where HealthTap docs are located. It's even trickier to determine best spray for someone outside of States, in say UK. Saline sprays (salt water) are safe. Sinus rinses are fine as long as you don't use tap water. In States, some corticosteroid sprays are available OTC w/o prescription. Stay away from nasal decongestants sprays

Nasal spray: If it is otc nasal spray, see an allergist asap, if it is a prescribed nasal spray, consult an allergist about allergy shots.They may provide you with relief and minimize your dependence on medications.

Nasal spray: I assume you are referring to an over the counter decongestant nasal spray that is very addictive if used more than 3 days. You need to see an allergist, you probably need a medicated nasal spray to alleviate the rebound congestion you have developed, you may need oral steroids and do not touch this stuff ever again.

Nasal steroids: The nasal steroids as a class are the drugs of choice. None of them is the best. Patients often like one better than the other so it is reasonable to try a few.

Some patients get good relief with nasal antihistamines.

Possibly: It depends which nasal spray you are considering.  It is certainly safe to use saline solution.  Consult with your doctor.
