See details: The best approach is to control you reflux with an over-the-counter med such as Prilosec or Prevacid (lansoprazole) and then you should be able to tolerate juices without problem. Without do this, all fruit juices may give you issues.

REFLUX: Acid reflux may be a cause of halitosis, but our breath can be influenced by the foods we eat. At your age most of the times you should not concern about cancer, but if your symptoms are persistent, you have difficulty swallowing food, have vomited blood or have lost a lot of weight, you better go see your GI doctor so he will elucidate if you need more specialized studies like an upper endoscopy.

Diets are best: supervised by your doc or a nutritionist.  Low fat is not a good way to go.  We need good fat such as found in coconut oil, olive oil, fish oil, nuts, etc. Low carb is helpful to many folks, as is your brisk walking. Citrus & Tomatoes: Contrary to popular belief, tomatoes are a fruit, not a vegetable.  Citrus and tomatoes lower the tightness of the top of the stomach, and allow more acid to go up into the esophagus.
  Other foods to avoid include too much food (eat small meals), fatty foods, alcohol, chocolate, peppermint.  Make sure you're taking a powerful acid blocker like prevacid/prilosec to avoid esophagus damage.  Luck!

The basics: Acid reflux is a common issue effecting most of the population at some point in their lives.It is also quite variable in intensity from never noticed to disabling. Avoiding aggravating factors like caffeine, nicotine &amp; laying down after meals helps reduce symptoms. Dietary choices can aggravate or reduce symptoms as will some medications. You may or may not be able to ingest citrus to some degree.

Maybe.: Try it and see. In general it is sound advice to avoid whatever worsens your gerd and many patients report that fruit juice or fresh fruit make it worse. See your family physician for further evaluation and management.

Most: You can play detective, and the fruits that bother you, do not eat.  Acidic fruits and veggies can cause irritation, like oranges, grapefruits and tomatoes, etc.  Others can be fine and good for you too.  Best wishes.

Diet for GI problems: The recommended diet would be different for each of those G.I. problems. The best diet for you would depend on which of these are actually causing you the most symptoms.  I would see a gastroenterologist to help sort out your predominant problem and base your diet on that. Until then, a high fiber diet low in citrus fruits and tomatoes would be a good place to start.
