Ulcer: There is no particular diet that is necessary for an ulcer. You should definitely avoid aspirin and NSAIDs. From a food point-of-view, , you should avoid any food which  you notice gives you troubles. You should quit smoking, and avoid alcohol at least until you&#x27;ve verified the ulcer is healed. Be sure to take your medicine and to follow up with your doctor as advised. Good luck.

Need to determine: Cause. Gastritis and stomach ulcer may be due to helicobacter infection, Aspirin and other drugs, vascular problems, alcohol etc. Please see your doctor for an evaluation and treat the cause.

Ulcers: Generally acidic foods like vinegar, wine, oj, lemon juice, lime juice, tomatoes as well as spicy foods, fried/fatty foods, caffeine/coffee & soda pop exacerbate ulcers. Even milk should have as low fat content as person can tolerate. Hopefully she is taking medication to help heal the ulcer; then she will gradually be able to eat the foods she enjoys again.

Unsure about ?: Actually diet has very little to do in causing stomach ulcer although coffee and tea tend to stimulate more acid production and NSAID should be avoided. I presume you have been checked for H pylori infection.

Not likely, but...: it is not likely that you have an ulcer, but with symptoms such as that, it is certainly possible. For now, I would avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and any over-the-counter pain relievers except for Tylenol (acetaminophen). I would use over-the-counter antacids such as Tums whenever you have stomach pain. If you find that you need antacids more than 2 to 3 times per week, I would see your doctor. Good luck.

would like to find out-had my galbladder removed 5 years ago and two years after that had a stomach ulcer.at first i had bad diahoree and battled to eat fatty foods-this is now better.i have also lost around 8 kg and could not pick up the wait again?

Gallbladder : Gallbladder helps to digest fat. You will not be able to eat such heavy fatty meals without a gall bladder

See you GP or Surgeon or Gastroenterologist to repeat ct scans or gastroscopy and colonoscopy to look for any problems

Gastroenterologist: Is a gastroenterologist involved in your care? Have you had an endoscopic examination of your stomach? Do you have evidence of delayed gastric emptying?  Avoid fatty or oily foods which delay stomach emptying. Are you having gas buildup in your stomach when eating? If so, avoid gassy foods and beverages.
