NO: Ginger ale commonly contains carbonated water, sugar/HFCS and artificial ginger-flavor. Ginger content is often listed on labels in a general "natural aroma" or "Natural flavoring" statement, to preserve secrecy of the complex proprietary mix of spices, fruits and other flavors used. Lemon, lime and cane sugar are the most common of ingredients. Its not the same as natural ginger as you asked.

STOP GINGER ALE!!!: Each can of canada dry ginger ale nearly 12 tsp of sugar in the form of high fructose corn syrup- one of the most toxic foods known to man, esp. Dangerous now that it is made from gmo corn. You are poisoning yourself ; sabotaging your health. Stop drinking it now!

as an alternative, make ginger tea ; sweeten it with some raw honey;you can even add sparkling water to it.

Depends on severity: Of acute cholecystitis.  In severe cases, an operation needs to be done right away.  In less severe cases, limited amount of oral intake is ok, as long as you are on antibiotics.  If you can handle liquids with no pain, ginger ale should be no problem compared to other liquids.

Not really: Carbonated drinks like sprite or ginger ale don't necessarily help per say.  Basically sprite or ginger ale would the same thing, since they are essentially made the same way.  The only difference between them is the flavoring.  For a better effect you could try TUMS, (calcium carbonate) Pepto Bismal or any other over the counter anti acid to help random heartburn.

i have never been a belcher, but i began belching while drinking cream soda and ginger ale. are there ingredients in those drinks, which incites belching? thank you?

: The carbonation produces gas which can then cause belching. If you want to avoid this, then avoid carbonated beverages. Good luck to you!

Ginger: You can drink slightly flattened ginger ale to help reduce nausea & other GI sxs.  Or nibble on crystallized ginger.  Or pour boiling water over freshly sliced organic ginger & steep x 5 min in a covered pot. Sip.

Check w/doc: It sounds like you chronic GI symptoms.  It's best to look at the cause, not just treat the symptoms w/ginger ale or something else.  Your doc can determine what's happening and help you.  Peace and good health.

Try other drink: Although real ginger can be helpful for nausea, ginger may also cause minor irritation of the stomach lining- not a good thing if there is already an ulcer.  With ulcers, avoid carbonated, acidic, caffeinated, alcoholic, spicy beverages.

NO: Ibuprofen is an acid and can cause gastric ( stomach) irritation. I suggent following a clear fluid diet as noted below and if symtoms persist today- go to ER or UC clinic.
NO SOLID FOODS FOR 48 HOURS
Force fluids: 8-10 glasses/day:
Electrolyte rich fluids- Gatorade, Powerade, Vitamin Water
Protein rich fluids: broth bullion, consume.
AVOID ALL CITRUS JUICES: orange, grapefruit, pineapple, cranberry etc.
Avoid all aspirin, Advil, Aleve (naproxen) ( NSAIDS ).
If not improving go to private physician or ER.

two-fold question here. is it alright to drink carbonated beverages (soda/ginger ale/selzter) a week after wisdom teeth extraction?

second q: is it okay to sleep on your side after a week?

: Neither carbonated beverages nor "sleeping on (one's) side"  will affect healing following wisdom teeth extraction.
