Yes: Belching is the venting of gas from your stomach.  This gas generally gets into your stomach by swallowing it (usually unintentionally).  When you belch, the gas is released into your esophagus and to your mouth.  Sometimes stomach acid can follow the air which can cause burning and occasionally damage to your esophagus.

Fire in the Mouth: People with acid reflux can develop many oral problems.  Among them are halitosis (bad breath) and dental caries (cavities), as well as soft tissue problems like mouth ulcers and issues with their tongue.  No one knows for sure why these occur, but some postulate that a change in the bacteria of the mouth occurs due to the presence of a lower pH (acidity), which might also explain a tender tongue.

Common: Belching is nothing but bringing out excess air/gas from stomach to mouth, if your stomach is full, some liquid will come out along with it. It is usually not psychogenic.

LPR may progress: Exposure of the vocal cords to stomach acid &amp; pepsin will result in inflammation of the vocal cords (as is also often seen with acid regurgitation). Acute laryngitis may result, but watch out for chronic hoarseness, throat clearing, airway spasms, bronchitis, an asthma-type presentation, and even a higher risk of throat cancer. Impedance pH testing with a symptom diary can best characterize this.

See MD & take a PPI: You could something serious going on with your esophagus. Buy some otc acid reducer like Prilosec otc and get referred to a gastroenterologist. They may need to perform an endoscopy on you because of your trouble swallowing complaint.

May however not be reflux so please get yourself checked.

Lodged food: Yes seeing a doctor for this would be a good idea.  You might hiccup because you have a problem in your esophagus.  A test to look at your edophagus might help.  You might experience this again.  Evaluation of this problem will help you
