Several cycles: Oral hormonal therapy helps resolve acne in some women, but not others.  It may take several cycles of use for results to be noticed.  One pack is insufficient.  Consult your doctor for more instructions on use.

Choice of pills: Is done usually by the side effects rather than efficacy at preventing pregnancy. Birth control pills are theoretically effective up to 99.7% but in real world situations (due to forgetting to take, incorrect starts, etc) can be as low as 90%, and that shouldn't differ much amongst different pill formulations unless one is very large where higher-dose pills may be needed to control the cycles

does stemetil affect the contraceptive pill?

Stemetil and the OCP: Unlikely it would reduce the effectiveness of the pill, but it is metabolized by the liver which can make the liver metabolize pill hormones faster, so to be absolutely safe use a pill hormone recipe that is higher dose or does not need the liver to create the active form of the progestin, such as levonorgestrel, and you could consider continuous use of the hormones. Talk to your doctor as well.

See below: While any medication that increases your metabolism would in theory lesson the effects of oral BCP there are no studies to back this up. As with most other drug interactions with OCPs it is unlikely that diet pills would decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills.

Yes but why ?: If you have been consistent with taking your pill on time, it will prevent egg release.No eggs=no pregnancy. If you missed a few in a row, plan B may be a good idea. If you are just doing it as backup you are likely to have some significant side effects/changes in cycle pattern etc.

Work to do what??: Get you high? It will do that whether you are on a contraceptive or not, and there is no evidence that ecstacy and ocp's have any drug interactions, but taking contraceptives regularly is critical for them to work effectively, and use of mdma is not likely to help you remember to take your medications. Forms of mdma like "molly" have been associated with deaths and serious illness- get some help.

No: Estrogen alone won't keep you from getting pregnant.   Contraceptive pills contain a combination of Estrogen + Progesterone or Progesterone alone.   Best wishes!

Tablets/Pills: At age 35, if you think you need female hormones you should see a gynecologist. She/he will take your medical history, examine you, and order related lab studies.

If they are all OK you can relax.

If there is something wrong the doctor will advise you on what to take.
