Need more info: All imging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Nondiagnostic: Such a report requires the ordering physician to sit down with the radiologist who interpreted the chest xray and ask the radiologist for a differential diagnosis,get advice about additional testing like a ct scan or follow-up chest rays or whether consultation with a pulmonologist or thoracic surgeon is advisable. An opacity could be a scar or an early growth or be nothing serious.

These images are best interpreted by radiologist.  The radiologist sends a detail report of the procedure to the ordering physician.....This is where you start.  Discuss with your physician for best review of your images.

: It sounds like there wasn’t a full deep breath taken for this x-ray. So, at the bottom of the left lung there is a minimal white line on the x-Ray. This white line could be a non-expanded piece of lung (atelectasis) or a scar or just the technique of the film. If there is concern, a CAT scan of the chest could be obtained and a lung doctor seen. See your doctor: Your question could mean a lot depending on your history, you are quite young why did you have a CT? do you already have any kind of cancer, what Cyst are you talking about&gt;? basically in this situation you should talk to the doctor who ordered your Ct scan as the history matters a lot
