What you need to: know first is the diagnosis: what is the cause of your esophageal pain? Presume you have chest/upper abdominal pain and believe it is esophageal. While elaborate tests may not be needed, you need to present your symptoms to a doctor for a diagnosis to be made. If reflux or dyspepsia, then trial of anti-acids, acid (H-2) blockers or acid release inhibitor (PPI) needed with diet/weight loss.

Family practice : Use of anti inflammatories can cause gastritis and esophageal ulcers  but the lesion in your age group is bothersome. Wait for biopsy report and follow up with your dr. Stop your NSAID until seen.

i have barrets esophagus and had an ablation on october 24th. i am curious if smoking marijuana is harming me or if i can continue. i do not drink or use any other drugs. i take my ppi every morning before my meal - the checkup isn't for 4months?

: Marijuana can definitely worsen GERD. In addition many studies are pointing out various other deleterious effects from weed. Do yourself a favor and abandon the practice of using it.

dysphasia is from anxiety or esophageal cancer? i'm a 30 y/o f don't drink smoke or do drugs. i've been going through this 6months

Anxiety: From what you described the risk of esophageal cancer is low. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. 
If you have gained weight recently, losing it would help.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Do U have Achalasia: Achalasia is defined by absent peristalsis in the esophagus &amp; incomplete relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter (les).  It may be a "primary" esophageal motility disorder, or "secondary" to cancers invading the les (pseudoachalasia), chagas disease from reduviid bug bites, amyloidosis, sarcoidosis, eosinophilic infiltration. Similar motor abnormalities can be seen with diabetes &amp; ciip.

New dx of Barrett's: Barrett's esophagus is not something to play around with! barrett's epithelium occurs as a terminal event in those with chronic gerd. Barrett's patients risks cancer of the esophagus. Poorly treated barrett's can progress by replacing more & more of the esophagus lining, & can become dysplastic. Barrett's warrants surveillance endoscopy, aggressive acid suppression, & maybe ablation &/or surgery.

Endoscopy: An endoscopy and biopsy is needed to assess the barrett's and decide if there are precancerous cells that require more aggressive therapy.

Watch , ablate: If high grade dysplasia then radiofrequency ablation should be done. If only low grade dysplasia or no dysplasia then we monitor with serial endoscopies.

Anti reflux Rx: Be is a complication of chronic reflux; may be painless. Cells in lower esophagus look like intestinal cells, would be ok if they weren't esoph. Cells; less resistant to chemical onslaught.  Pre-cancerous.  1% of barrett's pts. May develop adeno (gland) ca of esoph.  Rx with aggressive med rx, ppi twice a day, and follow up endoscopy to check for "dysplasia"-more cancer-like;  can remove by scope.
