Digestion problem: Seems as though you may have a dietary sensitivity to certain foods.  Best to avoid them.  If no other issues than certain foods cause bloating sensation I would not be worried. Risk factors: Balloon valvuloplasty is usually a temporary measure for patients that may be too high risk for surgery or have some temporary problem that precludes surgery at that time. It may also be done to see if it helps symptoms improve. In general though it's effects are usually only temporary, not generally long lasting or a definitive solution.

Other causes?: Other causes of ankle swelling are arthritis/inflammation, varicose veins, salt/fluid imbalance. Sounds like all the "bad" things have been ruled out which is reassuring.

Hyperventilation: It can cause hyperventilation which can make you feel light headed, nauseated, weak. All of which should resolve shortly after breathing is restored to normal for a while and your co2 level returns to normal.

Yes!: Although foods like hot dogs, peanuts and grapes are the no. 1 cause of choking deaths to children, balloons are no. 2.  Balloons cause more childhood deaths than any other toy.  Any substance that can take the shape of a child’s windpipe or airway (like balloons or disposable diaper stuffing) is a more dangerous choking hazard than a hard, solid object. Ages 3-8yrs highest!
